    Hello,

a customer wants to delete a sensitive file from multiple client's backups. He is currently on V11 SP12 and he was advised by support:

Based upon everything that we discussed and I discussed with dev you have 2 options

    1) If you stay on current service pack you will need to do browse and delete for each client.
    2) If you upgrade to sp16 you should be able to run a command line request using an xml to find and delete the files.

I am struggling to find out anything on this feature in SP16. I am able to save delete data command as .xml script but it is always for one client only.
    Can anyone help me?

    regards
    Michal

Deleting files or folders from backup data was always supported, even prior to SP16. Please follow the procedure described here http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=12691.htm.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DELETED DATA IS PERMANENTLY GONE, CANNOT BE UNDONE.
