    Hello

    I have two servers

    - Active node hostname: CS1

    - Standby node hostname: CS2

Floating hostname CS (default pointing to ip adderss of CS1)

During the installation I put these names

    - Active node Instance001

    Client Hostname: CS.domain.local

    Client Name: CS

    CommServer: CS.domain.local

    - Active node Instance002

    Client Hostname: CS1.domain.local

    Client Name: ActiveSQL

    CommServer: CS.domain.local

    - Standby node Instance001

    Client Hostname: CS.domain.local

    Client Name: CS

    CommServer: CS.domain.local

    - Standby node Instance002

    Client Hostname: CS2.domain.local

    Client Name: StandbySQL

    CommServer: CS.domain.local

    is it correct?

    Many thanks

    Hi

so is it correct to put the same info in Istance001 (Commserve instance) of both Active and Standby ?

    always using floating hostname ?

    Client Hostname: CS.domain.local

    Client Name: CS

    CommServer: CS.domain.local

failover fails on step "Updating live sync schedule with new active node...Failed" after this also rollback operation fails

    Regards

Instance001 on both nodes have same Name and Hostname, that is correct.

When you get that error, have you already switched over the IP of the floating Name to the new Host and made sure the DNS-Cache is cleared? might be that the Command tries to still connect to the old active host where the services are down.

    Hi

What Service pack are you on?

Did you delete the network topology created by Cs live Sync?

If these network topology are in place, CS liveSync relies on the network routes to communicate.

If this issue persists, pls escalate.

    Leo

I have seen issues with CommServe LiveSync failing because the passwords for CS1 and CS2 are different in the CommServ DB's, and the passwords in registry were different.
