After 20+ years of using, building, and administrating IBM TSM/SP environments my employer has decided to move to Commvault. So as someone with extensive backup knowledge (my website http://www.TSMAdmin.com ), but no experience with Commvault, where/what is the best resource for learning? I am a moderator on the TSM user forum adsm.org and am hoping this forum is as robust and helpful. Any help will be appreciated.

    Hi Xerxes

    Welcome to commvault

Generally a good starting point so you can get yourself familiarize with the Commvault suite would be the Commvault Documentation Site (http://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/).

It provides pretty all type of configuration within Commvault. Once you get a better feel with the software and understand the major Backup Types utilized in your environment, you can then target more specific areas within the Documentation to get a better understanding.

Likewise reaching out on the Forum is also helpful to focus on specific areas of interest.

    Hi Xerxes,

Welcome to Commvault!  As previously mentioned the documentation is a good place to start.  Also please don't be shy about using the "Feedback" button in the documentation site.  The CV documentation team is quite agressive in wanting to fix any shortcomings and welcome this feedback.   Especially from new customers not accustom or familiar with our documentation as this can be quite helpful.
