Manually Prune jobs

    Hello All


    I need to manually prune some jobs. My question is best way  to prune the jobs at the library level, Storage Policy level, or at the subclt level? We are running V11 SP15

    Hi ColumbiaSC

    Whats the main reason for manually pruning Jobs? Is this related to retention issue or capacity issue?

    If the environment is sized correctly and Pruning is functioning as it should, pruning should work as it is?

    Would like to know the use case so we can provide further recommendation as the issue could be larger.

    Two reasons. Some jobs became diabled and the pruning did not take place. The other reason is we have retired clients, so those clients are not meeting the cycles \days.

    The issue of deconfigured clients not aging due to cycles is very common. The "Control Panel/Media Management/Data Aging/Ignore Cycles Retention on De-Configured Clients" can be set to 1, and this will age out all data that has met the age days retention on deconfigured clients.
