    Hello,

Has anyone faced a similar problem?

It has suddenly increased the number of VMs affected to this. After the backup window some VMs are generating the Redo Log Corrupted message and crashing. This is the whole message:

"The redo log of 'VM Name.vmdk' is corrupted. If the problem persists, discard the redo log"

I've searched a lot and found several situations where this may occur. No one has a specific cause. I've heard about VAAI, lack of space on datastore, storage issues.

    Regards,

    Pedro Rocha

Has VMware taken a look into the issue? The snapshots created for the backup are created by VMware as CommVault is only making API requests. There isn't going to be much information in the CommVault logs for this kind of issue except the snapshot completed or not.

    Hello, thanks for the answer.

I have this same understanding. I was just wondering if someone else had a similar problem and could share their experience. VMware support is engaged but sometimes, IMO, they are not very assertive on resolving their issues.

    Regards,

    Pedro.
