you can accomplish the same thing with CV using a feature called "Ad Hoc" archive.
so basically you create a new backupset/subclient and set the rules on the subclient to not leave a stub after the backup so that the data is removed after the backup completes.
create a directive file that has the folder location and pass that to an XML file via command line.
this method ignores any rules set on the subclient about access time or modified time and simply removes whatever is in the directive file.
./qoperation execute -af ad_hoc_backup_template.xml -clientName client_name -backupsetName backup_set_name -subclientName subclient_name -onDemandInputFile absolute_path_to_directive_file.txt
