    Hi all,

The SharePoint Online documentation could benefit from including recommended Access Node system requirements and number of accounts (like OneDrive and Exchange Online). It would be good if Commvault could also share how to tune or cater for tenants that have some larger SharePoint sites (e.e. 3TB). In addition, it would be good to get established backup/restore benchmarks too that are publicly available to help set expectations.  I am seeing one large site for a tenant that is now 17 hours into a full backup and it is still just preparing the manifest.

Has anyone found a good way to tune their SharePoint Online backups so they don't take days (url decoration helps only slightly)?  Muliple BackupSets and/or separate Access Nodes?

Ok, I can see a bit of Sharepoint Document backup snafu that effects scaling.  The job results folder has dumped 1.2 Million .dat files into X:\JobResults\CV_JobResults\iDataAgent\MS Sharepoint Doc Agent\2\nnn\XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX\ .  It is my experience that NTFS File Operations degrade heavily with a directory with so any files.  This particular backup only protects one of SharePoint site, so we cannot split the job any more.

Any got some ideas on how to improve performance for large SharePoint sites?  Move to ReFS (for improving B+ tree file lookups in a directory)?  Will Premium SSD be required for the Job Results? Are there performance improvements coming in FR11.21?
