    Hello ,

We are following https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=9302.htm to migrate from existing  media to new media agent. Migrating Global dedupe and index can be done through this process . To Migrate the disk library, how can we specify a destination library (s3 bucket).

Please share us the steps to migrate from disk to s3.

    Thanks,

    Hi,

You can do it this way:

    1. configure new global dedupe storage policy using your new S3 bucket and MA
    2. configure new secondary copies in your existing storage policies pointing to your new S3 dedupe storage
    3. run aux-copy
    4. disable backup activity and promote S3 secondary copies as primary copies
    5. re-enable backup activity
    6. delete you old copies from storage policies
Using these steps your storage policy copies will honour 512KB block insted of 128KB.
Index will be rebuilt directly from backup data.
