    Hello

I am running 11.16. A enduser says Commvault logs are taking up a lot of space. His Var\log directory is full and better than half the files are Commvault.

What is the criteria  for Commvault logs to removed on a Linux system?  Any thoughts to why the logs are not being deleted?

    Thanks,

What agents are installed on the machine in question? What OS is it?

    Hi ColumbiaSC

Out of curiosity is this by any chance a HyperScale Appliance or HyperScale Reference Architecture?

    Regards

Odd...  Typically the Log_Files space should not grow that big.  By default log files are restricted to a maximum of 5MB and a maximum of 5 versions/backups (for most log files)  You can find information regarding the Log_Files in the Commvault documentation here:
    https://documentation.commvault.com/commvault/v11/article?p=5552.htm

Let us know if this helps...
