We have 2012 AD so looking at the [system state]/Components of the DC I don't see sysvol. But I have found DFS Replication. That does contain sysvol and the GUIDs I need for the GPO. Now my question is, say I deleted a GPO and a month later I need it back, how do I know what GUID is my GPO? I am on 11.20.27 of software.

You can get the gui using the powershell get-gpo command.
