We are thinking about testing a Fusion IO card inside of our deduplication server (http://www.fusionio.com/products/iodrive/).  I'm curious if anyone else has tried this yet.

Just curious since they're damned expensive, how come one of those over, say, a couple of SSDs?

Asking as I've had similar thoughts for when our MA is replaced.

    2 reasons:

The attached disk array doesn't support SSD.

The FusionIO cards have higher performance.

    Hello bolsen,

we did deploy SSD drives inside the MediaAgent (from the server vendor). This has the benefit, that those drives fall under the same SLA as the server.
