We have CommVault v9 with our customers MediaAgents Dash Copying their data to us across the WAN to our central MediaAgent for offsite protection of data.

What I want to know is if there is some way of protecting the data we store at our side. As it is at the moment if we were to lose the storage array in our data centre we would lose all customers data and be forced to re-seed all customers data (which is not feesable).

Is there a way replicating this data using CommVault to a secondary DR MediaAgent off-site from  us? An off-site copy of off-site data, if that makes sense?

As far as i know there is no way of Dash Copying Global Dedupe MagLibs, or am I wrong?

It *should* be as simple as creating another copy in your storage policy and then defining the source under the "Copy Policy" tab as your offsite copy.

Just my 1.4 cents (after taxes)
