May be a dumb question - what is the reason behind this issue being an MR?
Isn't a Modification Request effectively an "enhancement request" i.e. for additional functionality? If something is broken, it should be fixed. As soon as it leaves the TR queue (as an MR) there's no customer visability of what is happening and so you may be waiting a while ... I have had a number of these sort of things in the past and generally unless I can convince support it should be a TR and development need to cut a patch for it, there's no timely resolution to the problem.
