Anyone have had that issue before? I've stopped the services on the MA this morning and even a few hours later, the SIDB2.exe is still loaded in memory. I don't want to corrupt the DDB. Anyone know a way to force a graceful shutdown of the process?

I've just opened a ticket but thought I'd try here in case someone has seen this before. I'm using v9 SP2.

    Thanks!
    Phil

    Phil,

From the MediaAgent, can you provide the SIDBEngine.log from the Log Files dir as well as the Process ID of the SIDB2 process in Windows Task Manager?

    Hi,

I've attached the log file. PID 5540. I've also noticed that even though I stop the services, the comm service (cvd.exe) restarts automatically.

    Thanks!

    Phil,

I did not see the log file.  You mentioned CVD comes back up.  Are all jobs suspended in the Job Controller going to this MediaAgent?  You may need to go into Windows Services and stop/disable the Communications Service.

Alright, the log file is showing up on my previous post now. I'll try and disable the service and see how that goes.
