    Ok, i solved this one.   I searched through the Logs and launched manually on the MySQL Instance the command line used by Simpana. It pointed to an invalid view in the DB. The problem is that this error message generated by the mysqldump command is not transfered to the Simpana error message. Fixed the view, now the backup works properly.

    Are you running the scripts as the same account you are logged into the box with and running them? See if you can chance who you are running the scripts as in CV to your account and see if it works.  Also when you running the scripts from command line are you using an elevated (UAC) command prompt?

    the same format still applies to 9.0 as well.  In 9.0 we parse the csvde export to use for autodiscover purposes.  You can find the csvde command in the discover log, run it manually from the command line and find the display name property to see what format we are using.

    I believe the ''allusersprofile'' variable is used to determine the location.  You can check this by going to command line, use ''set'' to change the allusersprofile to the desired volume, and attempt the install.

    Absolutely!  The command line tool is just a stand alone utility that can be executed on demand on a single workstation.   The Search Admin page that I recommended has a rule configuration system where you can target ALL, specifics groups of users, or a single user allowing you the flexibility to target a single user/workstation.
